Notarization of signatures

Documents

  • If both parents are Brazilian nationals, they must come in person to the Consulate, bearing their respective Brazilian identification documents (identity card or valid passport).
  • If one of the parents is a foreigner, he or she must sign the travel authorization form before a notary public, have the signature of the notary public certified by the provincial government before submitting the authorization to the Consulate for legalization.
  • if both parents cannot come in person to the Consulate, they will have to fill out the trip authorization forms and sign them before a notary public, have the signature of the notary public certified by the provincial government before submitting the authorization to the Consulate for legalization.

Form

  • Fill out, date and sign the travel authorization form.

Fee

  • The consular fee for the recognition of the signature or legalization of the trip authorization for minors is Cnd $25.00, which must be paid through “money order” or “certified cheque” to the “Consulate General of Brazil in Toronto”. Cash, personal cheques, debit or credit cards will not be accepted.
