1. GENERAL INFORMATION
- The Consulate General certifies signatures of Brazilian citizens on documents for different purposes.
- The Brazilian citizen must come in person to the Consulate General for the certification of his/her signature
- If the Brazilian citizen cannot come in person, the steps predicted for legalization of documents must be followed.
3. PROCESSING TIMEDocuments
- If both parents are Brazilian nationals, they must come in person to the Consulate, bearing their respective Brazilian identification documents (identity card or valid passport).
- If one of the parents is a foreigner, he or she must sign the travel authorization form before a notary public, have the signature of the notary public certified by the provincial government before submitting the authorization to the Consulate for legalization.
- if both parents cannot come in person to the Consulate, they will have to fill out the trip authorization forms and sign them before a notary public, have the signature of the notary public certified by the provincial government before submitting the authorization to the Consulate for legalization.
Form
- Fill out, date and sign the travel authorization form.
Fee
- The consular fee for the recognition of the signature or legalization of the trip authorization for minors is Cnd $25.00, which must be paid through “money order” or “certified cheque” to the “Consulate General of Brazil in Toronto”. Cash, personal cheques, debit or credit cards will not be accepted.
- The certification of signature is done up to five working days, from 9 to 1 PM.
